We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Operations Manager to lead our team of skilled technicians. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, and driving project success.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and Work Allocation: Schedule daily work allocation for both technicians and build teams, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources effectively.
  • Daily Routine: Conduct daily meetings with technicians at 7:30 am, ensure they are prepared for work, and allocate tasks efficiently.
  • Controller Management: Manage two controllers, allocating jobs and call-outs to technicians, and ensuring the right person is assigned to the right task.
  • Issue Tracking: Monitor outstanding issues from previous days, repair quote details, and follow up with the office.
  • Technician Support: Act as a leader, coach, and problem solver for challenging issues, providing on-site support when needed.
  • Spot Checks: Conduct regular spot checks (5-10 per week) on site, reviewing technician and customer interactions.

Weekly Routine:

  • Standby Schedule: Create and manage the standby schedule for daily, weekend, and holiday periods.
  • Tool and Vehicle Inspection: Perform regular tool and vehicle inspections to ensure everything is in working order.
  • Van Stock: Monitor and maintain van stock levels, ensuring technicians have the necessary materials.

Six-Monthly Routine:

  • Performance Reviews: Conduct bi-annual performance reviews for technicians, identifying areas for skill improvement and development.

Requirements:

  • Trade Qualification: Be trade tested and qualified in HVAC and Refrigeration.
  • Industry Experience: Have 15-20 years of experience in the refrigeration industry, with 5-10 years in a similar position managing technicians.
  • Leadership Skills: Possess strong leadership, team-building, and people management skills.
  • Project Delivery: Prioritize project and service delivery, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
