Job Description

The Central Payments Team Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team, overseeing all aspects of daily cash transactions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as an A signatory for all payments, foreign exchanges, and receipts.
  • High level management, control and monitoring of Central Payments Team.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and ensure deadlines are met in accordance with bank cut off times.
  • Manage and oversee core cash systems to ensure integrity of data sets.
  • Oversight of housekeeping and control reports to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
  • Provide regular training, coaching, and feedback to team members.
  • Maintain relationships with internal teams and relevant third parties.
  • Support Banking & Treasury Team and Senior Management.
  • Act as senior point of escalation for team members.
  • Responsible for HR team requirements including overtime, sickness, appraisals, and general wellbeing.
  • Continually improve and update procedures, implementing preventative measures and control mechanisms.
  • Support Banking Senior Management Team to provide innovative solutions to client situations.
  • Provide senior-level input on Banking & Treasury initiatives and ad hoc projects to increase efficiency, reduce risk, or enhance client service.
  • Adhere to Risk & Associated Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
  • Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures.
  • Adhere to JTC Group's core values and expected behaviors.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by Management.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a payments role with at least 18 months to 2 years' experience of signing.
  • Previous experience of managing and leading teams.
  • Experience of cash management, including in-depth understanding of payments & FXs.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solutions-driven and strong decision-maker.
  • Able to take a commercial approach to decision-making.
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritizing effectively and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Able to act on own initiative and collate/present information clearly.
  • Completer-finisher, able to see tasks through to completion.
