The Administrative Assistant/Scale House Attendant plays a vital role in the Solid Waste Department of Siloam Springs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as primary department receptionist, answering incoming calls and providing information to customers.
  • Assists with procurement of materials and supplies for the department.
  • Serves as dispatcher for customer inquiries or complaints regarding the Solid Waste, Recycle and Street Department.
  • Collects deposits from customers disposing of trash, electronics, and household hazardous waste, keeping records of money collected and preparing daily tickets/receipts for the Utility Department.
  • Operates the scale house, weighing vehicles in and out and maintaining records of tonnage collected.

Requirements:

  • Ambitious individual with an associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
