About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Abantu Staffing Solutions.

Job Description
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Process transactions into correct General Ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collect outstanding debt due from customers, utilizing effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Review and approve accounts payable documents, maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts, analyzing trends and making informed decisions to optimize financial performance.
  • Develop and submit VAT returns that withstand audit scrutiny, ensuring complete and accurate disclosure of taxable income.
  • Manage payroll accounting processes, including payment processing, employee data maintenance, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Assist in preparing monthly management reports, variance analysis, and other financial statements, providing actionable insights for business decision-making.
  • Support audit activities, ensuring seamless collaboration with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to budget compilation, forecasting revenue and expenses, and developing strategies to achieve financial goals.
Requirements
  • Professional experience in finance, with a focus on financial report analysis and cost management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, with ability to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize system performance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Strong knowledge of VAT laws and regulations, with ability to navigate complex tax environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is R850,000 - R1,050,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical aid, life insurance, and retirement fund contributions.
