Job Description: Production Manager

The Production Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing process. They oversee the entire production line, from raw material acquisition to product delivery, maintaining quality standards and meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing Principles to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Manage plant operations to maximise resource utilisation.
  • Ensure effective execution of shutdown processes.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Motivate the shift team to achieve OEE targets.
  • Maintain stock levels to mitigate production risks.
  • Set goals and evaluate subordinates' performance.
  • Ensure subordinate competency through training, assessments, and coaching.
  • C coordinate and engage multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to prioritise work.
  • Identify and manage risks, ensuring alignment between disciplines and timely completion of investigations.
  • Communicate strategy, goals, training plans, and daily interventions to all shifts effectively.
  • Implement changes as required.
  • Hold people accountable for their actions and implement disciplinary measures when necessary.
  • Forecast and prepare annual budgets for capital, fixed, and variable costs, controlling these and reporting monthly on status.
  • Manage and report on overtime.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements, implementing necessary control measures and rectifying non-conformances.
  • Communicate with internal and external suppliers and customers.
  • Respond to customer feedback and take corrective action when required.
  • Understand and comply with all SHEQ requirements of the job.
  • Identify and address SHEQ conditions and hazards.
  • Maintain high levels of good housekeeping in the workplace at all times.
  • Drive sustainability targets, such as fibre loss, energy usage, and water usage.
