About the Role:
This exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Deli Division Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our food services team, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene are maintained at all times. This role requires strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high operational standards.
About You:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to lead our food services team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a food services environment, with proven experience as a chef or cook, and strong culinary skills. A relevant culinary qualification or equivalent experience is essential, as is food safety and hygiene certification. Additionally, you should have basic computer literacy and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all aspects of the deli division, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness.
- Develop and implement menus that incorporate perishable products into prepared or frozen meals, minimizing wastage.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene are maintained at all times.
- Train, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high operational standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed, ensuring cost control and minimising wastage.
- Conduct regular stock takes and manage the ordering process to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently.
Salary: R120,000 - R150,000 per annum
