Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Capitec. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and deploying machine learning models to drive business growth and improvement. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to gather requirements and manage stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and deploying machine learning models using Python/R and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Gathering requirements from stakeholders and managing stakeholder engagement.
  • Mentoring junior data scientists to foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our AI/ML strategy and roadmap, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise projects that align with our business objectives.
