Job Description

This Dispensing Assistant for Pharmaceuticals role involves providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our pharmacy team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in handling scripts, and have a strong understanding of chronic authorization processes.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers via telephone or other means regarding medication and healthcare services.
  • Capture scripts received at the Central Pharmacy centre accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle queries regarding prescriptions in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage patient profiles effectively.
  • Assist with chronic authorizations and provide liaison support to other departments.

Requirements

  • Further Education and Training Certificate in Pharmacy Assistance is essential.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role is required.
  • Sound knowledge of SAPC and relevant legal requirements.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Bilingualism, with English being one of the languages spoken fluently.
