Our Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia / Northern Territory team is seeking suitably qualified and experienced professionals to join our Mental Health Team in Alice Springs. We are committed to delivering evidence-based and culturally safe mental health services to remote First Nations communities across regional and remote Australia.

You will be part of a supportive environment where our people are valued, and professional development is encouraged. Our Mental Health Team contributes to improved mental health outcomes through a fly in fly out and drive in drive out model.

The RFDS SA / NT is recruiting for the following roles:

  1. Mental Health Nurse
  2. Mental Health Clinician
  3. Aboriginal Mental Health Worker

As a member of our team, you will be inspired to deliver moderate intensity mental health services to clients who are not able to access appropriate services due to living in remote locations or being ineligible for existing services. You will utilise a combination of telephone, telehealth, and face-to-face consulting methods to achieve positive outcomes for RFDS SA / NT clients.

We offer an attractive relocation package, including up to three months settling in accommodation, cost reimbursement and paid travel. In addition, we provide remote housing allowance, travel allowance, 6 weeks annual leave per year, generous annual salary packaging options and more.

About You:

You are:

  1. Experienced in the delivery of mental health interventions in line with National Standards for Mental Health Services and practices.
  2. Aware of treatment approaches for remote First Nations communities and associated healing practices.
  3. Experienced in integrating existing government and non-government agencies and other human service providers in the planning and delivery of services.
  4. Experienced in the implementation of mental health and social and emotional wellbeing health promotion activities.
