Key Responsibilities:

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end audit files, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
  • Analyze accounts and financial information to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Prepare VAT calculations and returns, ensuring compliance with regulations.


Account Management:

  • Compile and prepare monthly management reports, providing critical insights to the finance team.
  • Produce financial reports related to budgets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expenses.
  • Review, monitor, and manage budgets, offering recommendations to optimize financial performance.


Further Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end calculations and reconciliations, ensuring all financial records are precise.
  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on time.
  • Manage annual calculations, including rates and refuse escalations.


Education and Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel and MDA.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
