The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical skills and a high level of accuracy. The role involves uncovering discrepancies, driving process improvements, and collaborating to meet deadlines.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage daily, weekly, and monthly business partner settlement & fee reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency;
  2. Partner with external business stakeholders to identify and resolve discrepancies and drive preventative solutions;
  3. Conduct thorough settlement reconciliations, identifying and addressing discrepancies in transactional and banking records;
  4. Continuously improve reconciliation and settlement processes by developing and implementing best practices;
  5. Assist in designing and developing reconciliation and settlement processes for new payment networks onboarded;
  6. Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of reconciliation methods, outcomes, and solutions;
  7. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies by monitoring procedures;
  8. Assist in internal and external audits, providing detailed documentation and clear explanations of methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Completed accounting or finance qualification (BCom or BAcc preferred);
  • 1 - 3 years' experience in a similar role, focusing on financial data and reconciliations;
  • Excellent MS Excel skills (including pivots and lookups);
  • Understanding of the payments environment would be highly beneficial;
  • Fluent in business English, any additional languages will be seen as beneficial;
  • Own reliable transport.
