Job Description

**Embedded Software Engineer**

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at Network Recruitment. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing real-time, embedded software for our aerospace and UAV systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop real-time, embedded software for aerospace and UAV systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets requirements and is delivered on time.
  • Develop and implement software testing and validation procedures to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Work with project managers to estimate and plan software development projects.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for software development projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in embedded software development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of industrial experience in embedded software engineering with solid experience in C/C++ programming.
  • Extensive experience with UML diagrams for software development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in embedded systems design, particularly with pre-emptive, multitasking real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Ability to develop and implement software for embedded devices and systems, covering the full lifecycle from requirements gathering to production and commercial deployment.
  • Skilled in architectural design, project planning, estimation, and the execution of complex software projects.
  • Proficient in developing, coding, testing, and troubleshooting system software.
  • Familiarity with the DO-178 certification process is advantageous.
  • Capable of motivating and guiding team members to deliver high-quality solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of software development tools and technologies, such as version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
