Game Design Strategist

We are seeking a skilled Game Design Strategist to join our team at FriendnPal.
About the Role:
- Manage a team of 3D modelers, developers, concept artists, audio designers and UI designers, providing feedback, fostering collaboration, and filling in skills gaps.
- Assign tasks to ensure each designer works on appropriate elements based on their expertise and project needs.
- Facilitate communication between designers and other departments to ensure game alignment with design vision.
- Develop initial game mechanics, systems, and level designs based on project goals.
- Ensure game mechanics, narrative, and overall design remain consistent with established vision and creative direction.
- Create Design Documents: Write and maintain detailed design documentation serving as reference for both design team and other departments.
- Constantly review and refine game design based on playtests, feedback, and technical limitations.
- Lead creation of early-stage prototypes to test and refine new game mechanics, systems, and ideas.
- Ensure gameplay elements are balanced and adjust mechanics as necessary based on testing feedback.
- Regularly meet with team to identify potential issues and integrate solutions into game design.
- Playtest and gather feedback to iterate on designs, identifying areas for improvement, and making changes.
- Address design-related challenges as they arise, from gameplay issues to integration of new features.
- Ensure all design elements come together cohesively and overall experience feels polished.
- Coordinate with production team to ensure design tasks are completed on time and within scope, while prioritizing features based on project milestones.
- Manage scope of game's design to ensure it aligns with team's capacity and project deadlines.
- Progress tracking to monitor progress of design tasks, ensuring all work is moving forward according to sprint goals.
- Stand-ups: Lead or facilitate daily Scrum meetings (stand-ups) for game design team.
- Sprint Planning: Work with team to plan and prioritize work for each sprint.
- Leading sprint reviews to showcase completed work at end of each sprint.
