Job Overview

This is a key role that will involve providing professional services on projects within the Roads and Highways Division, including design management and delivery for transportation infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage professional teams on medium to large-scale transportation infrastructure projects.
  2. Provide technical expertise in geometric and transportation design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  3. Develop and implement design management strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate project risks, and develop effective solutions to overcome challenges.
  5. Ensure that all projects are delivered in accordance with Mass Staffing Projects' quality management system and relevant industry standards.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging trends in transportation infrastructure design and management.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor of Engineering or B.Tech degree from an accredited University/University of Technology.
  2. Professional registration with ECSA is mandatory.
  3. Minimum years of professional experience in transportation infrastructure with a strong background in geometric or transportation design.
  4. Working knowledge of Bentley Microstation, Open Roads Design Software, and Civil3D.
  5. Interest and/or experience with BIM systems would be advantageous.
  6. Knowledge of the commercial aspects of project management.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to effectively write technical reports.
  9. Courteous and business-oriented manner when communicating with stakeholders to foster and promote good working relations.
  10. Co-operative and flexible work style to work in a team environment.
  11. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  12. Ability to make technical decisions that are outcome-driven.
  13. Ability to maintain a consistent and manageable workload.
  14. Knowledge of QA and OHS requirements.
  15. Experience in Government standards, codes, and documentation.
  16. Experience in design management and design delivery for projects and managing professional teams of medium/large projects would be beneficial.
