Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to supervise and control the electrical department and all aspects of Maintenance in our client's automotive component manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical and PLC systems, with expertise in Mitsubishi and Siemens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance in the area of machine safety, reviewing design criteria for new and relocated equipment, and managing and supervising the objectives on machine safety and design criteria.
• Supervision: Supervise and manage a team of electricians, ensuring effective day and night shift cover, and managing overtime within budget.
• Spare Parts Management: Order and control spare parts, and assist production to keep machines running.
• Machine Maintenance: Ensure all machines are maintained in acceptable working conditions, repair and fault finding of electrical and mechanical systems, and testing of circuits and assemblies.
• Electrical Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain electric motors, switch and control gears, generators, transformers, conduct and cable wiring of buildings and plants.
• PLC Expertise: Have knowledge of Siemens S7 and Mitsubishi PLC's – Programming and On-line fault finding.
• Reporting and Communication: Timely completion and submission of all reports detailing cost, and effective management of personnel under their responsibility.
• Housekeeping and Maintenance: Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained, and ensure that the necessary maintenance, both predictive and preventative maintenance, are fully implemented.

Requirements:

• Education: N6 Electrical with at least 5 years related experience in areas such as Preventative maintenance, machine breakdowns and safety systems.
• Experience: Must have a sound working knowledge of general maintenance engineering PLC, Robotic Controls and CNC experience is advisable.
• Skills: Ability to work as a team member, under pressure with good organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities, and computer literate in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience in managing a team.
