Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of electrical installations and troubleshooting/repairs, mechanical installations and troubleshooting/repairs, pump repairs and installations, motor repairs and installations, basic PLCs, instrumentation & calibration, and general building maintenance (electrical and mechanical).

You will also need to have excellent communication and coordinating skills, with the ability to produce accurate results within prescribed deadlines. Additionally, you will need to be able to work independently but also as a team player, be able to cope well under pressure, and have a positive, self-motivated, and confident approach to work and colleagues.

As a Health & Safety Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislations, company policies and procedures.

Key performance areas include managing the factory planned maintenance schedule, ensuring efficient co-ordination and record keeping of all workshop maintenance activities, giving input into the development of planned maintenance improvements, and ensuring adherence to planned electrical and mechanical maintenance. You will also monitor and support the execution of calibration by external contractors, conducting daily machine set-up to meet production requirements, managing job cards, and attending to breakdowns, fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repairs.
