Job Title: AEI Automation Specialist

Job Summary:

The AEI Automation Specialist will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for the automation, electrical, and instrumentation department to achieve highest efficiency of plant activities and ensure reliability and safety operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice during troubleshooting and corrective action of automation systems breakdown or failures.
  • Attend to technical queries by operation personnel and provide advice/solution according to best engineering practice.
  • Administer relevant contracts, contractors, and suppliers associated with the works to ensure compliance with procedures, policies, and guidelines.
  • Monitor spare parts and inventory for critical instrumentation to ensure availability when required.
  • Provide technical inputs in full cycle of procurement processes for contract, materials, and services.
  • Identify, propose, and implement areas for improvement in instrumentation engineering to enhance operations and improve total equipment reliability.
  • Develop plans, scopes, and lead the execution of shutdown works for instrumentation.
  • Forecast and prepare budgets for instrument-related activities.
  • Supervise work execution on site and develop procedures and instructions for maintenance, shutdown, or project.
  • Represent the company and participate in meetings, discussions, and initiatives relevant to the job roles and business needs.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • Bachelor's Degree or B-Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Siemens S7 - Pro 182 and Siemens PCS 7 are must-haves.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in Instrumentation & Control Engineering and Maintenance in FMCG Environment.
  • Working experience in the soya and sunflower crush plant and silo's/edible oil extraction plant is desirable.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and SAP.
  • Knowledge of design codes and industry standards.

Knowledge of codes and standards in the oil and gas industry is desirable.
