Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate / Degree / Diploma in General Nursing.
  • 2-5 years of experience in clinical research, preferably on multiple projects.
  • Prior experience in Paediatrics or a baby clinic setting.
  • Good Clinical Practice Certification (advantageous).
  • Keen interest in research, particularly Allergy, Immunology, and Dermatology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic Data Management systems, email, and internet.
  • Fluency in English and a second language (Afrikaans and/or isiXhosa).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational, and time management skills.
Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing study participants, ensuring adherence to inclusion criteria and providing high-quality care throughout the study process.
  • Conducting clinical examinations and follow-up visits, including vital signs, electrocardiographs, laboratory specimen collection, and pharmacokinetic sampling.
  • Preparing and transporting laboratory specimens to laboratories, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Managing participant records, including laboratory and procedure results, and ensuring accurate data capture and management.
  • Collaborating with non-study clinical staff in hospitals, ensuring seamless integration of trial-related activities.
