TalentCru is seeking a Strategic Financial Director to champion the translation and implementation of financial strategy within our organization. This is your chance to own the process, provide strategic direction, and build a high-performing financial management team.

  • We offer an estimated salary range of $120,000-$180,000 per annum for this role, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of experience in a financial or management accounting role, with Business Commerce, Finance and Accounting qualification related.
  • As our Strategic Financial Director, you will contribute towards finance strategy through obtaining a deep understanding of the business environment external and internal.
  • Liaising with business executive stakeholders as well as internal financial stakeholders to challenge and resolve financial management-related issues will be a key responsibility.
  • You will drive group finance financial management objectives through demonstrating sound business knowledge and market awareness.
  • We require you to review and approve commentary submitted to the reporting function or relevant area to ensure its accuracy, value adds, and effectiveness in communicating key trends, risks, and other critical information.
  • Your role will involve ensuring the provision of both financial and non-financial information and support to relevant stakeholders.
  • You will provide meaningful and commercially astute insight to stakeholders through the analysis and explanation of the impact of business activities on total costs.
  • Managing the review and substantiation of all financial controls, managing the review of transfer recovery cycles and methodologies ensuring total recoverable costs are recovered from the service recipients, and continuously seeking innovative ways to improve value-added services to business and finance will be part of your responsibilities.
  • You will deliver on ad-hoc requests in a timely manner and ensure all stakeholder expectations are appropriately managed throughout the process.
  • We need you to lead, implement, and manage monthly financial reporting, including preparing appropriate commentary.
  • Additionally, you will lead, implement, and coordinate annual budgeting, revised estimates, forecasts, and actuals processes.
  • You will co-ordinate and monitor various financial management processes and projects.
  • We require you to assume responsibility for all management information packs produced and circulated to your relevant stakeholders, including the interpretation thereof.
  • Maximizing opportunities for the benefit of both finance and business through strategic relationships with stakeholders will be one of your key objectives.
  • You will drive effective change management of all finance-led initiatives into business.
  • Developing and achieving effective relationships with various stakeholders at varying levels of responsibility to achieve business objectives will be essential.
  • You will develop and execute measures of improvement for your stakeholders.
  • Caching and mentoring individuals to mature their professional skills and careers will also be part of your role.
  • We need you to provide strategic input to the development and design of reporting team deliverables to ensure sufficient and appropriate levels of reporting are achieved.
  • Finally, planning and developing the coordination of information from financial managers on a daily, monthly, annual, and ad-hoc basis will be necessary.
