Pastor Secretary Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Pastor Secretary at our vibrant Church in Cape Town City Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Pastor and assist in the smooth operation of church activities.
  • Manage the Pastor's diary, appointments, and reminders.
  • Attend to visitors and ensure refreshments are provided when required.
  • Update membership database and maintain records on all information of members.
  • Prepare certificates, forms, and documents for meetings and services.
  • Prepare weekly pew leaflets and type minutes for meetings.
  • Manage church website and social media pages.
  • Plan and coordinate church events and engage with ministries accordingly.
  • Ensure confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Matric Certificate.
  • At least 5-10 years of working experience in an administrative environment.
  • Excellent administration skills and ability to multitask.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to use own initiative and creativity.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and Microsoft applications.
  • Experience in project management and marketing.
