Mid-Level Toolmaker Job Opportunity

Hire Resolve is excited to announce a challenging role for a skilled Mid-Level Toolmaker in Johannesburg, working with a reputable client in the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, manufacture, and maintain high-quality plastic injection moulds.
  • Develop and implement mould modifications to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Operate CNC machines and program using Edgecam or Mastercam software.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to create and refine CAD drawings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to pneumatic and hydraulic systems in moulds.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in all tooling operations.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior toolmakers as needed.
Requirements
  • Certified Toolmaker with a completed trade test.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the plastic injection moulding industry.
  • Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming and operation.
  • Experience with CAD software for mould design.
  • Familiarity with hot runner systems is a plus.
