Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute instructions within the framework of the Finance Process Area
  • Manage accounting operations, including billings, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
  • Prepare daily commission calculations and accurately record financial transactions on our internal database system
  • Reconcile transactional data and assist with streamlining and improving accounting systems, including automation projects
  • Adhere to quality standards and processes within the Budgeting and Finance area
  • Support the implementation and running of IFRS 17

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare timely monthly financial reports for various processing areas
  • Analyze and interpret financial results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards
  • Provide operational support, including submitting invoices and statements in a timely manner
  • Assist with preparing and analyzing monthly management accounts and quarterly Investco reports
  • Prepare consolidated and individual entity financial statements for the Group
  • Assist with monthly tax calculations for various entities within the Group
  • Stay up-to-date with financial standards and regulations, analyze their impact, and assist with implementation
  • Work on ad-hoc projects as required

Credit Control:

  • Monitor and track receipts against arrear premiums
  • Prepare arrear letters and assist with preparation of AOD's and repayment schedules
  • Identify areas of improvement in the collection process and ensure outstanding debtors balances are maintained at acceptable levels

Internal Control:

  • Adhere to processing area SOPs and organization compliance processes and procedures
  • Complete complex tasks efficiently and accurately

Qualifications:

  • CA (SA) qualification (Essential)
  • Relevant tertiary financial qualification
  • Completion of articles
  • Insurance and IFRS 17 exposure advantageous but not essential
