Job Description

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer/Analyst to join our dynamic team as we ramp up our Engineering practice in South Africa. The selected candidate will go through an extensive Industry Training and development program under Exusia's Training Academy, which will enhance their skills on Data Engineering, Cloud Computing, and Big Data Analytics.

The Training program provides an opportunity to work and learn on the job from seasoned Data Engineering and Analytics practitioners who have executed 1000+ client engagements of Exusia, across the globe. On successful completion of the training and mentoring program conducted by Exusia Analytics Centre of Excellence, the candidate will be required to go through an internal assessment. The candidate who is successful at these assessments shall have the opportunity to extend their contract and work for our client – one of the largest Banks in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data systems and architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses.
  • Work with cloud-based technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in Data Structures & Algorithms.
  • Strong programming skills using at least one of the languages - Java, C, C++ or Python.
  • Good understanding of Relational Database concepts and SQL / PL SQL.
  • Basic knowledge of UNIX or Linux Operating systems and knowledge of shell scripting.
  • Basic understanding of Data warehousing and Data Engineering concepts is nice to have.
  • Understanding of Azure Cloud Platform is nice to have.
  • Exposure to Cloud Data Warehouses such as Azure Synapse or Snowflake is nice to have.
