Job Description:

The role of Data Scientist, Analytics Expert is critical in helping us make informed business decisions by extracting valuable insights from complex data sets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply advanced data mining techniques and statistical analysis to large, structured and unstructured data sets to understand and analyze phenomena.
  • Model business problems, discovering insights and opportunities through statistical, algorithmic, machine learning and visualization techniques, working closely with clients, data and technology teams to turn data into critical information used to make sound business decisions.
  • Assist in developing and implementing standard and proprietary algorithms for handling and processing data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize projects that drive business value.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 3-4 years proven development experience in software and software engineering, with a strong understanding of financial services data processes, systems, and products.
  • Experience in technical business intelligence, IT infrastructure and data principles.
  • Project management experience and ability to build models (credit scoring, propensity models, churn, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of data science toolkits, such as SAS, R, SPSS, etc. and data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • A First Degree in Information Studies or Information Technology.
