We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a MeerKAT Associate Operations Scientist. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting telescope operations, serving as Astronomer on Duty, and supporting users in proposal preparation and data reduction.

**Responsibilities and Requirements**
  1. PhD in astronomy, astrophysics, or related field
  2. Minimum 2 years experience in reduction and analysis of radio astronomy data
  3. Knowledge of radio astronomy reduction software
  4. Ability to program in C / Python / shell scripts
  5. Technical report writing

The successful candidate will reside at our offices in Cape Town, South Africa, with an option to do substantial work from home. This is a renewable 5-year contract with opportunities for research and professional growth.
