  • We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable specialist to join our team at FlySafair. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, sorting, distributing, and filing invoices.
  • Capturing all invoices, both local and foreign, is also a key responsibility of this position.
  • You will work closely with the Logistics department and suppliers to ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Additional duties include preparing supplier reconciliations, clearing old queries, and assisting with month-end close-off procedures.
  • Providing auditors with necessary information for year-end audits is another important task in this role.
  • You will also be responsible for creating new Creditors accounts as required and posting payments against these accounts.
  • Apart from these responsibilities, you will handle ad hoc queries from Suppliers and management.

Requirements

  • To succeed in this role, you should have a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role is essential.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required is also a must.
  • A working knowledge of a financial system is a requirement for this position.
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Receivable is also essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is expected.
  • An excellent attention to detail and good communication skills (verbal and written) are also necessary.
