Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing new and existing clients with professional and relevant financial advice, planning, and products that meet their needs and requirements. This includes undertaking the procurement of sustainable business of a high quality, in accordance with business targets set.

Maintaining and servicing these clients as part of a long-term relationship which builds loyalty to the brand and generates ongoing advice and sales is also a key aspect of this role. These activities must be undertaken within a compliant and ethical manner, resulting in the building and sustaining of the Sanlam Group business and brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow the Sanlam Adviser Business by applying knowledge and understanding of market segmentation and customer profiles to support sales and growth within the defined market.
  • Nurture client relationships through face-to-face interactions, social or business, to create business opportunities.
  • Network with new and existing clients to identify marketing gaps and sales opportunities within the middle-high and affluent market.
  • Develop and implement focused campaigns with new or existing clients in the defined market to generate leads and informal prospecting opportunities.
Requirements
  • A minimum of Grade 12 qualification.
  • Successful completion of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) 'Fit and Proper' requirements and Regulatory Examination if registered with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) for more than 24 months.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, think critically, and work independently.
  • Proven track record of meeting production targets and achieving budgeted results.
