Job Summary:

H&S Labour Brokers seeks a qualified Risk Manager to develop and implement effective risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to minimize threats and ensure compliance with regulations and legislation. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with Operations and Support Departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination on risk-related issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Develop and implement effective risk assessment and mitigation strategies to identify, evaluate, and prioritize risks associated with our operations.
  2. Liaison and Collaboration: Liaise with Operations and Support Departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination on risk-related issues, including new developments, inspections, and business continuity.
  3. Incident Reporting and Monitoring: Monitor and audit properties from an ORMS, legislative, and incident reporting perspective to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Insurance and Risk Management: Manage insurance survey programs, including updates and progress reports to insurers, to ensure optimal risk management and coverage.
  5. Trend Analysis and Solution Implementation: Review trends and implement proactive solutions to protect the business and minimize losses.
  6. Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support, education, and training to Operations to enhance their knowledge and skills in risk management.
  7. Reporting and Contingency Planning: Prepare reports and updates to ensure awareness and effectiveness of risk management efforts and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential risks.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications and Experience: A formal Risk/OHS qualification or equivalent is preferred, and membership of recognized OHS and related bodies is highly regarded.
  2. Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of property, plant, and equipment, including safety, building, and health codes and legislation, is essential.
  3. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with proficiency in MS Office applications are necessary for effective collaboration and reporting.
  4. Industry Experience: Proven industry experience with multi-unit/multi-project experience and at least five years' experience in a similar role is required.
