About the Role

At Sanlam, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the systems and processes that support our General Insurance operating entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train operating entities to navigate the systems and follow existing and new processes.
  • Determine the effectiveness of existing processes and establish quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and identify operational requirements for improvement.
  • Work with operations teams to create solutions and streamline business systems and processes.
  • Examine existing business processes, procedures, and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Recommending automation, restructuring workflows, or introducing new technologies.
  • Gather and analyze data related to finance in operations to derive insights and inform decision-making.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of operational processes in finance and initiatives to ensure they meet organizational goals and standards.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • 5 years of finance experience within the General Insurance industry.
  • Working with 3rd party vendors.
  • Technical proficiencies and familiarity with relevant software tools and policy administrative systems.
  • Knowledge of databases, SQL queries, and data analytics.
