About the Role

The Automated Test Engineer plays a crucial part in ensuring software quality at SavageOne Pty Ltd. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks to validate application functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create comprehensive test plans and cases to cover application functionality.
  • Design and execute automation test cases to validate software against defined requirements.
  • Collaborate with Software Developers to identify bugs in the software and recommend solutions.
  • Document bug reports and track defects until resolution.
  • Analyze defects to determine their cause and provide detailed analysis.
Risk & Quality Management
  • Apply risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites.
  • Review requirements, specifications, and manuals to ensure quality and testability.
  • Trace test cases and results back to specific quality risks to ensure high standards.
Automation Tool Selection & Maintenance
  • Select, develop, and maintain suitable test automation tools to support the testing process.
  • Evaluate and ensure the stability and robustness of test scripts across multiple environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience in automated software testing, including design, development, and execution of test cases.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Solid understanding of risk-based testing techniques and quality management practices.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools and diagnostic methodologies.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Candidates must have relevant experience in card or payment systems as this is essential for the role.
