Job Title: EHS Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EHS Professional to join our team at Alstom. As an EHS Professional, you will be responsible for providing a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and contractors.

About You:

  • You have a strong background in health and safety with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • You hold a University degree or technical qualification in a relevant field.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are a results-oriented individual with strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide a safe and healthy environment to our people and to our contractors during construction sites and projects.
  2. Minimize impacts on the Environment (environmental footprint of operations & management of historical pollution).
  3. Protect Alstom assets and reduce risks of business interruption resulting from fire and natural catastrophes.

Educational Requirements:

  • University Engineer or Technical Qualification.
  • Health & Safety Qualification recognized by the enforcing authorities in the country of operation (when required). Nationally recognised, min 3 years qualification.

Experience:

  • Professional experience 3 year`s (can be adjusted depending on the size of the Site).
  • Experience of almost 3 years in Environment, Health & Safety.
  • Highly recommended experience for manufacturing sites or for Regional Centers.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of ISO14001 and ISO45001.
  • Deep knowledge of local legal EHS requirements., including all SA Regulations for Contractor Management.

Salary Range:

R1 200 000 - R1 800 000 per annum, depending on experience.

Gauteng.
