Solar Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Design Engineer to contribute to our team's success in the renewable energy sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing solar power systems, ensuring they meet performance, efficiency, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Design: Develop detailed designs for solar power systems, including photovoltaic (PV) arrays, inverters, and mounting systems, ensuring optimal efficiency and performance.
  • Site Assessments: Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal solar panel placement and system configurations, analyzing factors such as shading, orientation, and roof structure.
  • Technical Analysis: Perform technical calculations and simulations to evaluate system performance and energy yield, using software tools to model and optimize solar installations.
  • Compliance: Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, staying updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and installation teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into projects, providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation: Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including system schematics, installation manuals, and maintenance guidelines, creating reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical advice, presenting design proposals and addressing any questions or concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field, with advanced degrees or certifications in solar energy being a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum years of experience in solar design and engineering, with a proven track record of successful solar projects.
  • Skills: Proficiency in solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, or AutoCAD), strong understanding of photovoltaic systems, electrical design, and energy modeling, familiarity with solar industry standards, regulations, and best practices, excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and working under tight deadlines.
