Job Description

**Job Title:** Vice Principal - Academic Leadership

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice Principal to join our Senior Leadership Team at Recruitment Matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our Primary School's academic curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, and promoting academic excellence across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Oversee the development and implementation of the Primary School's curriculum, ensuring it is aligned with the school's vision and goals.
  • Teaching and Learning: Lead the development and implementation of teaching and learning strategies, ensuring high standards of academic achievement across the school.
  • Staff Management: Line manage Key Stage Leaders and support their professional development, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to lead their teams effectively.
  • Student Support: Oversee the work of the Student Support Services, ensuring that students receive the support they need to achieve their academic potential.
  • Leadership and Management: Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's leadership and management strategies, ensuring that the school is well-led and managed.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is informed and involved in the school's academic activities.
  • Professional Development: Lead the development and implementation of professional development programs for staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge they need to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: BEd / BA (QTS) / PGCE or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a Primary School setting.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of curriculum development, teaching and learning strategies, and student support services.
