Job Summary:

As a Legal Bookkeeping Expert, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of our clients, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage business and trust account cashbooks and bank reconciliations
  • Close TPFA accounts and capture interest on a regular basis
  • Process fees and disbursements accurately and efficiently
  • Reconcile creditors and record and reconcile petty cash regularly
  • Prepare and post monthly journals to ensure accurate financial records
  • Maintain asset registers and manage depreciation
  • Paying fidelity funds and generating day/month-end reports
  • Opening matter codes and investment accounts, including guarantees, and loading daily and monthly payments
  • Sending out statements to clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-8 years of relevant experience in a legal bookkeeping environment
  • Proven experience with legal accounting software (Lawpac experience is ideal, but AJS, LegalSuite, etc., are also acceptable)
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
