School Counselor

Job Title: School Counselor - Residential

International SOS is seeking a skilled School Counselor to join our team in Indonesia. As a School Counselor, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program for students in a remote part of Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a guidance and counseling program that meets the needs of students in a remote setting
• Act as the campus safeguarding person and ensure the well-being of students
• Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote individual and community well-being
• Provide educational support for various school programs and initiatives
• Collaborate with classroom teachers on student behavior, team building, and student success
• Implement a Restitution Model of Discipline and promote Digital Citizenship
• Review and contribute to school policies related to Child Safeguarding, Bullying, and Student Welfare
• Work with students individually to meet developmentally appropriate personal, emotional, academic, and social goals

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or equivalent
• Master's Degree in Counseling and/or Psychology
• Relevant administrative and teaching credentials
• Broad International teaching experience (5 years)
• Experience with primary school counseling (3-12) is essential
• Effective communicative and interpersonal skills
• Analytical and research-based
• Adaptive and Flexible
• Excellent command of the English language
