The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Investment Officer to join our team in Sandton. As a key member of our business development unit, you will be responsible for conducting market research, identifying potential clients and strategic partnerships, and assessing the financial health and potential risks of targeted companies.
Responsibilities:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct Market Research: Identify potential clients and strategic partnerships through comprehensive market analysis.
- Audit and Due Diligence: Assess the financial health and potential risks of targeted companies through thorough due diligence and audits.
- Financial Modeling: Create detailed financial models to guide investment decisions, including revenue projections, cost analysis, risk assessment, and return calculations.
- Negotiation and Relationship Building: Structure and negotiate viable financing solutions with targeted companies, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the SME market, and monitor and evaluate the performance of client portfolios.
Requirements:
- BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field with Accounting 2 or Finance 2.
- 4 or more years of experience in business investment or a business finance-related role.
- Experience in auditing, banking, financial accounting, and/or sales and marketing will be advantageous.
- Must have the ability to build and maintain relationships, have strong negotiation skills, be results-focused, analytical, and possess a strong financial background.
