We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Division Manager to join our team at Lebo Business Consulting (Pty) Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the technical management, design, and repair of all accelerator control electronics.
  • Coordinate the efficient operation of the Tandem accelerator and ion implanter.
  • Supervise the maintenance of all accelerator and ion implanter beam-line components, and manage spare components and their replacements to minimize downtime.
  • Develop relevant software to support technical operations.
  • Maintain all electronics sub-systems within the laboratory.
  • Design, develop, and implement new electronics equipment required by users of the laboratory.
  • Transfer skills and mentor junior members of the division.
  • Develop operational philosophies and software specifications for all accelerator-related facilities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Engineering, or Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
  • At least 10 years of experience in electronics, software design, development, and maintenance.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in a technical environment at a junior management level.
  • Experience in both analogue and digital electronics design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in laboratory instrumentation and control systems.
  • Some experience in software development.
