We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Administrator - Candidate Development to join our team in the Department of Infrastructure. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for managing and developing training programmes for roads engineers, overseeing the administration of the roads candidate programme, and coordinating and facilitating all administrative aspects of the branch.
About the Role
- Manage and develop training programmes for roads engineers;
- Oversee the administration of the roads candidate programme;
- Coordinate and facilitate all administrative aspects of the branch;
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies;
- Human Resource Management: Motivate, train and guide staff within the component to achieve and maintain excellence in service delivery;
- Manage information by applying tools and techniques to inform decision-making in government operations, produce reports, enhance service delivery, support transparency, support integration/collaboration across departments and government spheres.
Requirements
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/Bachelor's Degree (equivalent or higher qualification);
- A minimum of 3 years supervisory level experience;
- A valid (Code B or higher) driving license. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Competencies Required
- Knowledge of the following: Public Finance Management Act (PFMA); Road and Transport Legislation and Policies;
- Skills Development frameworks; OSD on Engineering and Related occupations;
- Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction;
- Monitoring and evaluation methods, tools and techniques;
- Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership techniques, production methods and coordination of people and resources;
- Political sciences and public policy;
- Relationship management;
- Communication (written and verbal);
- Problem solving and decision making skills.
Remuneration
R 444 036 - R 532 602 per annum (Salary Level 9)
Note on remuneration: In addition to service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc.) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
