We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a national construction company specialising in medium to large scale projects based in Cape Town.
About the RoleThis is a senior position requiring a highly skilled and experienced professional with a solid background in civils, cost estimates, and project management. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in construction and engineering projects, with at least 2-3 years in a senior role.
Key Responsibilities- Manage construction revenue, audit projects, and oversee cost estimates.
- Lead a team of quantity surveyors and manage site staff, ensuring compliance with SHEQ legislation and implementation.
- Certification in CCS is essential, and an assessment will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels and lead by example.
- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- Proven experience in contract law, insurance, financial reporting, and managing construction methods.
- A keen eye for detail, ability to work autonomously, and handle conflict resolution.
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of approximately R750,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits.
