Requirements:

For this role at Rad Resources, you will need a National Senior Certificate as a minimum education requirement. A Diploma and/or degree in IT / Engineering / Programming is also desirable. Additionally, you must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Android Developer, with hands-on software development experience in project maintenance and development. You should also have experience in native Android development, specifically in Kotlin and Java, and be proficient in reactive programming.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Experience in native Android development, specifically in Kotlin and Java.
  • Reactive programming.
  • Strong knowledge of Android development and its supporting systems.
  • Proficient in Kotlin, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Good development practices using modern design patterns, software architectures, and clean architecture.
  • A good understanding of storage mechanisms, threading, lifecycles, and Bluetooth on Android.
  • Knowledge of common 3rd party frameworks/libraries and integration experience.
  • Strong UI development experience and developing for dynamic screen support.
  • Experience with RESTful API integration.
  • Well-versed in Git.
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle within an Agile environment.
  • Atlassian JIRA software experience is beneficial.
