We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Chief Enterprise Data Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic planning, innovation, and good governance support services to the province.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Understanding the strategic goals and business architecture of the province;
  • Obtaining an understanding of how information and data assets will be leveraged;
  • Determining the application landscape and roadmap required;
  • Identifying in-place and required technology components;
  • Facilitating opportunity identification through portfolio management activities such as Application Portfolio Management (APM);
  • Supporting departmental agility, resilience, and enablement by having timeous and relevant information sets on which to act;
  • Developing a data strategy and management models;
  • Data modeling and integration mapping;
  • Designing and guiding data governance and standards;
  • Business capability and data mapping;
  • Guiding business process data alignment;
  • Guiding data quality and performance improvement solutions;
  • Data interoperability and integration design;
  • Performing ICT solutions reviews;
  • Contributing to EA framework and governance.

Requirements:

  • NQF 6 or higher tertiary qualifications;
  • A valid IT architecture certificate;
  • TOGAF v9 or later certification is preferred but not mandatory;
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Enterprise Architect;
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Solution Architect.
