Responsibilities:

  • Prioritise effectively and in accordance with corporate objectives.
  • Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identifying trends that affect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.
  • Establish an environment and foundation for future sales growth.
  • Achieve the region's revenue and profitability quotas for the company's products as they are sold into all customer segments within the Region.
  • Sell value and solutions to customers.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Matric plus qualification supported by 5 years of sales experience.
  • Experience in the material handling equipment environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent at quoting/costing.
  • High sense of integrity and hunter/sales personality.
  • Working knowledge of forklifts and selling pre-owned forklifts within an assigned sales territory.
  • Proven record of achievement in prior sales positions.
  • Strong closing skills.
  • Prior attendance at formal sales training courses is a plus.
  • Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilise it to present the features and benefits to customers.
  • Knowledge of the materials handling and cleaning industry is advantageous.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office Programmes.
  • Knowledge of Autoline/CRM system is an added advantage.
  • Readiness for extensive travel in the region.
