About You:

  1. We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Risk Manager to join our team as the Chief Information Security Officer for the Business Unit. As an integral part of our Global Information Security group, you will interface with key stakeholders in the African region and other international locations.
  2. You will operate in a matrix organization with functional alignment into Global Information Security and dotted reporting into the regional Technology organization.
  3. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate risk assessment and risk management processes within the Business Unit, working closely with business unit leaders to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  4. Additionally, you will drive the execution of Information Security projects, including technology deployments, ongoing security assessments, and other risk management activities aligned with our Client's Information Security strategy and plan.
  5. Maintaining and enhancing an information security management system in accordance with ISO standards is also a critical aspect of this role.
  6. You will support and develop the information security strategy, risk management initiatives, and serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader to meet business, client, and regulatory demands.
  7. Furthermore, you will understand and interact with related disciplines through regulatory forums, committees, and business engagements to ensure the consistent application of policies and standards across all technology projects, systems, and services.
  8. Providing leadership, oversight, and performance management to the organization's geographically distributed information security department, including coaching and motivation for high performance, is another key aspect of this position.
  9. You will maintain accountability for the Information Security budget in the region and facilitate certifications, as necessary and determined by the business or Global Information Security, for SSAE 18, PCI DSS, and ISO.
  10. Partnering with business stakeholders across the company to raise awareness of risk management concerns and driving their resolution is also a key responsibility.
  11. You will work within the project and resource prioritization process to ensure security projects and efforts are represented, prioritized, and executed.
  12. On a regular basis, you will report status of security posture and progress against objectives to senior management in Global Information Security and regional IT.
  13. Maintaining a thorough understanding of current security deviations, open assessment and audit findings, and vulnerabilities in our Client's security posture is crucial.
  14. You will mobilize and support regional responses to threats and incident investigations in an effective and timely manner.
  15. In conjunction and coordination with Global Information Security, you will maintain and test incident response process and ensure its continued integration with regional and global escalation protocols.
  16. You will oversee the completion of security audits by customers and data providers.
  17. Preparing and contributing to periodic communication and presentations to local business and functional leaders regarding regional security posture and direction is essential.
  18. You will complete annual planning process through ownership and accountability for BU plans for Information Security that align with global strategy but reflect nuances of local needs, where appropriate.
  19. Assisting with the overall business technology planning, providing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems, is another key responsibility.
