Senior.Net Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled .Net Developer to join our team at FirstRand Bank Limited. As a key member of our Commercial Core Juristic Platform, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technology projects that drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and implement new technologies in the financial sector
• Develop prototype systems to test and prove new technologies
• Recommend technology solutions and vendors for implementation
• Maintain a knowledge base of financial technology trends and news
• Develop bespoke applications to support treasury functions
• Participate in the development of a blockchain platform for financial systems

Requirements

• BSc Eng, BSc Informatics degree or related qualification
• 3+ years of experience with C# and.NET Framework/.NET Core Stack
• 2+ years of experience building integrations
• Experience with Microservices and event-driven architectures
• Knowledge of Solid Principles, Design, and Architectural patterns
• Working experience with RESTful API design and integration
• Good knowledge of SQL Server (Entity Framework), Postgres (Relational Databases)
• Knowledge of Container Technologies (docker, Kubernetes) highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of Web API's, gRPC, and websockets also highly advantageous
