Farm Manager SA: Seeking a Skilled Technical Feedlot/Pasture Nutritionist

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced technical feedlot/pasture nutritionist to join our team at Farm Manager SA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural science and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective nutrition plans for livestock.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement nutrition plans for feedlots and pastures
  • Conduct stock assessments and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with farmers and other stakeholders to achieve optimal livestock production
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in livestock nutrition
  • Provide training and support to farmers and farm staff on nutrition and livestock management
Requirements:
  • Agricultural Diploma/Degree
  • At least 3 years experience in a management position
  • Great stockmanship essential
  • Previous feedlot and pastures experience
  • Ability to draw up nutrition plans for farms
  • Knowledge on dipping and dosing and all related to livestock
  • Computer literate
  • Strong business acumen with a proven ability to work with spreadsheets
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Ability to work with and motivate a team
  • Valid drivers licence
