Job Title: Infrastructure Maintenance Manager

Our client, a mixed-use property development in Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Maintenance Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and operational efficiency of the precinct's infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the repair, upkeep, and maintenance of all owned infrastructure in the precinct, including roads, stormwater systems, public amenities, vehicles, machinery, and buildings.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the precinct's infrastructure, including regular inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Manage and coordinate the repair and maintenance of all public amenities and furniture in the precinct, including street furniture, bins, bollards, benches, and signage.
  • Identify potential risks in infrastructure and maintenance activities, implement mitigation strategies to ensure safety and compliance, and prepare, manage, and track maintenance budgets.
  • Engage with internal teams, including management and other departments, to ensure the smooth operation of maintenance activities, and liaise with City officials on infrastructure-related matters.
Requirements:
  • A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years in infrastructure maintenance or facilities management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of roads, stormwater systems, mechanical maintenance, and public amenities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to motivate staff, manage teams, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
