About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of equipment and machinery within Zimplats Holdings Ltd. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge and expertise.

Key Requirements

• A recognised relevant Trade qualification or apprenticeship contract is essential.
• Negotiation of appropriate trade-specific qualifications is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of working experience as an artisan is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a plant environment would be beneficial.
• A valid driver's licence and medical clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment breakdowns.
• Develop and implement solutions for mechanical component design.
• Identify and address equipment malfunctions.
• Oversee the commissioning of machinery assemblies.
• Carry out regular maintenance tasks.
• Manage spare part inventory and documentation.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues.
