Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Services Manager to join our team at Altum Group. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the management of client portfolios, ensuring timely deliverables, and liaising with administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the management team by running a portfolio of varied clients in a managerial capacity.
  2. Review annual financial statements prepared in accordance with FRS 102 or IFRS.
  3. Coordinate audits for client entities where applicable.
  4. Prepare and review drawdown and distribution calculations plus notices on an ad hoc basis when requested by clients.
  5. Prepare and review management accounts, NAVs, and annual financial statements in accordance with Lux GAAP or IFRS for more complex client groups.
  6. Provide coaching and supervision to junior members of the accounting team.
  7. Develop and maintain good staff relations within the Firm and with other jurisdictions.
  8. Demonstrate strong technical knowledge when dealing with administrative teams, client personnel, and auditors.
  9. Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with Company internal procedures.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and security in terms of client affairs and papers.
  11. Monitor personal performance against targets.
  12. Monitor junior staff performance and bring concerns to the attention of relevant Directors.
  13. Identify areas requiring further training and inform Managers or Director.
  14. Comply with Company's professional conduct, quality, and ethical standards.
  15. Stay updated on current industry issues, e.g., changes in legislation, relevant accounting standards.
  16. Establish credibility with clients.
  17. Oversee quality of client service provided by direct reports.
  18. Build and maintain productive working relationships with clients and external contacts.
  19. Ensure accuracy of billing.
  20. Keep time sheets up to date.
  21. Produce and manage fee estimates and quotations as required.
