Job Description
  • **Key Responsibilities:** Ensure warehouse checks and equipment checks are conducted timeously before resuming tasks. Perform daily vehicle checklists for company vehicles. Operate company trucks for stock movements between plants, customer deliveries, and supplier collections.
  • **Safety and Quality:** Report all issues, including safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, and other incidents. Participate in daily planning discussions and execute assigned functions. Load, offload, and store goods with care, avoiding speed and maintaining awareness of surroundings when handling forklifts.
  • **Sample Handling and Labelling:** When sampling goods, ensure proper labelling and recording in the laboratory and on the sample are done correctly. Affix QC approved/reject labels as required.
  • **Vehicle Operations:** Use wheel chocks when loading and offloading vehicles. Ensure loads are strapped or tied down securely. Stack goods according to compatibility charts, with four drums per pallet and single drums on the floor.
  • **Equipment Maintenance:** Regularly inspect and maintain reach truck batteries, ensuring they are filled adequately and charged properly. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
