Actuarial Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Manager to join our team at Boardroom Appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement actuarial models to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Prepare financial projections and forecasts to support budgeting and planning.
  • Monitor financial performance and stress test the resilience of our business.
  • Model commercial implications of contracts and negotiate new partnerships.
  • Identify and analyze key business and data trends, and develop strategies to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Conduct ad-hoc investigations and analyses to inform strategic projects.
  • Extract insights from large datasets and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with stakeholders across the business.
  • Mentor and train junior analysts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Data Science.
  • Nearly or recently qualified actuaries.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and SQL.
  • Advanced experience in actuarial modeling, problem-solving, and data analysis.
  • Ability to communicate technical complexity to non-technical audiences.
  • Interest in behavioral science and analyzing large datasets.
  • Desire to teach and grow junior members.
